Apple's iPhone continues to be the top-scorer in customer satisfaction, but the big surprise is that Motorola Android phones have climbed into second place, based on the latest survey of new smartphone users by ChangeWave Research.
The new study, based on responses by 1,212 consumers, shows the market is still open to manufacturers, and perhaps operating systems, that deliver what customers want. Motorola, which not too long ago was being written off as a smartphone player, now even ranks ahead of RIM, and its popular BlackBerry devices, which have dropped to number four.
The study, completed Nov. 2, surveyed consumers who bought a smartphone in the past six months.
